Hunting in Glade Park, CO Hunting in and around Glade Park, Colorado offers some excellent opportunities, especially in Game Management Unit 40, where elk and mule deer are known to roam. The terrain is rugged and remote in many places—steep canyons, high mesas, mixed cover of aspen, pine, sagebrush, and timber; water sources tend to be seasonal, and many quality bucks and bulls feed on the edges of public lands and in less accessible drainages. While you cannot hunt directly from this property, its location makes it ideal as a mountain retreat or base camp—a place to rest, scout, and stage for hunting on nearby public or accessible private lands. With relatively easy access to quality terrain, wildlife presence, and solitude, it would make a great spot to return to after long days afield.
