NC Timber/Hunting Land for Sale

Edward, NC
Beaufort
Located in southeastern Beaufort County, NC this 22.9-acre wooded tract is conveniently located on Hwy 33 just 25 minutes east of Chocowinity, North Carolina.  Re-planted in longleaf pine seedlings in 2013, this property is fully populated with mainly longleaf pines with some natural regeneration of loblolly pine in the mix.  The trees will be ready for the first commercial thinning in 3 to 4 years.  There is a current survey on record and a fee simple, general warranty deed that expressly details the deeded access to NC Hwy 33.   Being surrounded by other large tracts of forested raw land, this isolated environment is home to healthy populations of whitetail deer and black bear.  This is prime hunting territory on top of being an excellent timber investment.  Boating and fishing access to the Pamlico River and the Intracoastal Waterway are nearby with boat launches either on Blounts Creek or South Creek in Aurora, NC.  The property is approximately one quarter mile south of NC Hwy 33 and the access is via a soil-based road.  The access easement measures 30 ft wide as detailed on the recorded survey map.  As a hunting destination this property is 45 minutes east of Greenville, NC and Raleigh, NC is two hours away.  Flight connections at regional terminals in both New Bern and Greenville, NC.
