John Rainey

John is an accomplished real estate professional with a diverse background that includes extensive experience in home construction, building materials sales, and management. He grew up in rural western Oklahoma, where he developed a strong work ethic through his work on farms and ranches while attending high school. During this time, he also served as the Vice President of the local FFA chapter and raised and showed hogs and steers. He has always had a passion for hunting, fishing, and rodeo events.

After graduating from high school, John embarked on a successful career in home construction and building materials sales. In 1986, he met his wife, Leslie, with whom he has been happily married for 34 years. Together, they raised two children who they are very proud of and now have two wonderful grandchildren.

In 1988, John joined McCoy’s Building Supply as a member of management, where he spent 15 years managing stores in several locations in East Texas and Arkansas. During this time, he also worked as a sales and construction center manager for Morton Buildings and opened a construction center office in Marshall, Texas, where he built many farm, ranch, commercial, barndominiums, and equine facilities.

In 2010, John and Leslie started their own successful pet food distribution business in Longview, Texas. During this time, John became an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator and operated a canine obedience training center. Together with Leslie, he worked in dog rescue and was able to help save over one hundred Golden Retrievers from the East Texas area. John’s love for dogs led him to find Luke, a two-year-old red coated golden retriever, with whom he competed in obedience competitions all over Texas and Louisiana, earning thirteen obedience titles and making hundreds of new friends.

John brings a unique understanding of customer service and the ability to listen and understand to the real estate industry.
